This website is part of a Genetic Counseling Master's thesis
project at the University of Cincinnati
Goal:
This website will aid in the
integration of genetics into the nutritional sciences and nursing curricula and
serve as a resource for professionals who work in nutrition-related healthcare.

Contents:
This website includes a
course assignment for
nutrition science and nursing students. This assignment introduces
students to the role of genetics in nutrition related health care and serves as
a basic genetics review. It also includes links to other sites which

section of the website includes journal references, links, and written
information on a number of subjects including: basic
genetics, taking a family medical history, the characteristics in a family
history that suggest a condition may have a significant genetic component (red

counseling, genetic information for healthcare professionals, and the human
genome project. The diseases
